Since its establishment in January 2008, IT company Atamia Ltd. has been working on a video games project called Faceoffgames (www.faceoffgames.com), which is set to revolutionise the high growth video online gaming sector.

Video gaming has been described as the ‘rock and roll music’ of the current generation and Atamia’s investment offer is amongst the most exciting in this sector.

Michael McCormick, CEO, Atamia Ltd. in detailing Faceoffgames, said, “This project encompasses technology centred on online video gaming tournaments for money and prizes, one v one wager-based player matches, online shopping, digital distribution of games via the internet, social networking, recruitment and advertising” said Michael McCormick Chief Executive of Atamia.

“It is Atamia’s policy to re-use developed technologies in the future by pursuing other industry sectors such as translation services and travel/tourism. We have identified market opportunities in these and other sectors, which allow for the re-deployment of adapted versions of similar technologies used in the Faceoffgames project, therefore maximising our revenue streams”.

McCormick and his team believe passionately in what they do and are very confident that investors in their product will be well rewarded.

Atamia has established a strong, experienced and talented management team. McCormick’s background is in property development, manufacturing and supply, having run his own companies since 2004. He has always had a keen interest in Information Technology.

Luke Ashe-Browne is Chief Technical Officer and he started working with McCormick pre-incorporation in 2008, to create Atamia’s vision and goals. Ashe-Browne holds qualifications in Electronics, Business IT and has a BSc in Software Engineering, plus eight years experience working across multiple roles in enterprise network systems engineering and software development.

Michael Kerrin, Senior Developer, who holds a Bsc in Mathematics, is an expert in Python and associated internet technologies, while Diarmuid Bourke,  developer and engineer, holds a BSc in Computer Applications and Software Engineering.

“Atamia’s objectives are clearly defined we have an experienced and talented management team in place and importantly, key members of our staff have made substantial investments in the company”, stated McCormick.

To best understand the Faceoffgames concept, McCormick recommends visiting the website www.faceoffgames.com , where the most popular sports video game titles can be played for cash.

“If a user goes to the website he or she can play a match putting a secure wager on the outcome of the game. At the moment users play their games on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, we will cater for more platforms such as PC in time. We support titles like Electronic Arts’ FIFA 10 or Madden NFL 10. The system reports the scores automatically to each users website account on Faceoffgames”, said McCormick.

Each user has an online bank account facility on the website where they can see all transactions that have taken place. It is very easy to use and the product is international.

McCormick added, “You can play someone in Australia if you want for €20.00 or more! We take a 10 percent service fee on all games played. We also allow for commercial advertising as we provide content to video gamers as well providing social networking facilities similar to Facebook.

We will introduce other features on the website including an online retail shop for video games both in physical and digital forms allowing for delivery and download respectively. Home electronics will also be available by shipment to a users address.

Beyond this we are creating an industry news section and intend to introduce a recruitment section for the video games industry.

All our systems are designed to deliver all of our services globally. Currently Atamia is targeting the English speaking market, but in time, we will provide services in multiple territories and languages.

Atamia Ltd. is the only company in Europe offering online video game wagering services where results are reported securely and automatically. This eliminates the possibility of disputes or cheating. There are only two other companies in the world offering this service and they have only launched their services within the last few months.

As part of its immediate development plans, Atamia will introduce its first PC based game in the New Year. “No other company is offering PC based game wagering services that we know of”, commented McCormick. He added, “It is important to note that the services we offer are based on games of skill, for this reason we are able to offer our services in the United States, unlike gambling based services”.

The company is seeking to raise €1.3m BES investment in order to achieve its goals.
