Content Editor
Position Overview
The Content Editor will be responsible for the customers’ content experience, in terms of the articles chosen for the online magazine, shop and other services. They will ensure that the pages are editorially correct and adhere to site standards. The candidate will work closely with our technical team and sales team to implement promotional pages, e-mails and campaigns to grow traffic and drive the sales department, scheduling on-site campaigns, and pulling and analysing metrics.
The candidate should:
- Provide leadership to publication staff including contract journalists and our staff writer.
- Contribute to the online magazine section of the site on a regular basis.
- Interact with website community and assess needs.
- Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Ensuring accurate data input into all site merchandising systems.
- Keeping designated areas of the website up to date with relevant, smart content.
- Managing customer e-mail programs.
- Evaluating traffic and sales data in conjunction with the Sales Manager to improve campaign effectiveness.
- Developing new promotional opportunities in conjunction with Sales Manager.
- Initiating and managing website improvement projects in conjunction with the Web Designer and other technical staff.
- Supporting the Sales Manager with simple sales analysis and reporting.
The candidate should hold a suitable degree and have strong planning skills, with confidence communicating both internally and externally within organisations. The candidate should have excellent written English and strong attention to detail is essential.
